Maple ChickenFrom: Vered @ healthyrecipesblogs.com/2017/06/06/maple-chicken/These maple chicken drumsticks are wonderful. They are sticky and buttery, and have the perfect combination of savory and sweet. They are a huge hit whenever I make them – in fact, it’s one of the chicken dishes my kids request most often. Prep and Cool time: 10 min Cook Time: 45 min Total time: 55 min Yield: 4 servings Ingredients 8 (4 oz) chicken drumsticks 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon kosher salt ½ teaspoon garlic powder ¼ teaspoon black pepper Instructions Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Place the chicken pieces in a 9X13-inch baking dish. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, maple syrup, mustard, kosher salt, garlic powder and black pepper. Pour the mixture on top of the drumsticks and use your hands to coat the chicken pieces. Bake 40-45 minutes, basting with the pan drippings every 15 minutes. It's important to baste, otherwise the drippings will set in the bottom of the pan, and the sugar in the maple will over-caramelize and burn.
