Skillet Chicken and Dressing Casserole – 15 minute meal From: Tiffany @ eatathomecooks.com/ This is one of my favorite casseroles, but the traditional version takes about an hour to bake. I speeded things up with this version by using a skillet that can take a quick trip under the broiler. Pair this up with Skillet Apple Crisp, which only takes about 20 minutes. Together, they make a great combo!Yield: 6 servings Ingredients 1 1/3 cups milk 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 cup frozen vegetables (optional) 2-3 cups cooked chicken, chopped 3 Tbs. butter, melted 1 1/4 cup chicken broth 1 box cornbread stuffing mix
Instructions Stir milk and soup together. Pour into skillet and heat over medium heat. Add frozen vegetables (peas and carrots) and chicken to skillet. Heat thoroughly. While that heats, stir butter, broth and dressing mix together. When skillet is hot and bubbly, top with dressing mix. Pop under the broiler in the oven for 3-5 minutes, till it begins to brown. Serve and enjoy!
