Grilled Filet with Bourbon ButterFrom the kitchen of: Desi, SteakNPotatoesKindaGurl @ steaknpotatoeskindagurl.blogspot.com Bourbon Butter from www.traegergrills.com/ Ingredients: Two filet mignons Salt and pepper for seasoning, if desired
Bourbon Butter 1 stick of unsalted butter, at room temperature 2 cloves garlic, finely minced 2 tablespoons bourbon 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onion 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions: In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic, bourbon, green onion, parsley, salt and pepper and stir with a wooden spoon. Season steaks with salt and pepper, if desired. Place steaks on the grill on medium-high and cook, turning once, until done to your liking in the center of thickest part. Transfer the steaks to a plate and top with the bourbon butter. You can use whatever cut of meat you like but we like tender filet steaks. The bourbon butter was a nice topping and the bourbon wasn't overpowering, for me at least. And we like our steaks cooked medium with a touch of pink inside. You can even make the steaks indoors using a skillet. And the bourbon butter is oh so easy. Note: Butter can be prepared ahead and refrigerated until serving time. You may want to let the steaks sit out of the fridge for 10-20 minutes also to come to room temp.
