Savory Sausage and Cheese Breakfast BreadFrom: www.familyfreshmeals.com/I’m sure any breakfast meat would also taste amazing in this bread, so if you don’t have sausage on hand, no worries. Substitute in some bacon or diced ham. Do you have a vegetarian at home? Try out a vegetarian soy sausage. It works just the same and tastes great. This Savory Sausage Cheese Breakfast Bread also reheats perfectly in the toaster oven the next day (that is IF you have any leftovers…just sayin’) Not only is this recipe great for breakfast, but I used my leftovers to dip in some warm soup the next day at lunch. Prep time:15 mins Cook time: 45 mins Total time: 1 hour Serves: 8-10Ingredients 8 sausage links ¼ cup diced onion ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 2 eggs 1 teaspoon Franks Hot Sauce (or you favorite hot sauce) ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon of pepper 1 tsp all purpose seasoning (such as Mrs. Dash) 2 cups Bisquick ⅔ cup milk ¼ cup mayo
Instructions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roughly chop up sausage links. Saute sausage and onions over a medium high heat until sausage is browned. Set side. In a large mixing bowl, combine egg, milk, mayo cheeses, hot sauce, salt, pepper, Mrs. Dash (or any all purpose seasoning) . Mix well. I found it easiest to use a stand mixer. Next slowly mix in Bisquick. Mix well. Now add in sausage & onions. Mix until just blended. Coat a 9×5 inch loaf pan with cooking spray or butter. Pour mixture into loaf pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Let rest in pan for 5-10 minutes before serving.Copyright © 2013 Family Fresh Meals
