Cheesy Smoked Sausage SkilletFrom: Steph @ www.plainchicken.com/We both absolutely LOVED this dish. There was a nice smokiness from the sausage. We actually used smoked turkey sausage, but regular smoked sausage would be great too! The sauce had a great flavor as well. I really loved the parmesan cheese in it. I wanted to eat the entire skillet by myself. I didn't, I reluctantly shared with Chicken Legs. There was enough leftover for lunch, and it was equally delicious reheated. This will definitely be going into the regular dinner rotation! serves 4Ingredients: 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced into 1/4-inch slices 1 Tbsp olive oil 3 cloves garlic, minced 8 oz tomato sauce 1 Tbsp tomato paste 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning 1 cup chicken broth 1/2 cup heavy cream 9 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions: In a 12-inch skillet, brown sausage in olive oil. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil then cover and simmer on low for 12-15 minutes. Serve with additional parmesan cheese, if desired.Copyright © 2007-2013 Stephanie Parker | Plain Chicken, Inc. All Rights Reserved
