Pizza Burgers skinnyms.com/Yields: 6 Servings Ingredients 1 lb. lean ground turkey or ground beef 1 sweet onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 cup + 3 tablespoons water 1 tablespoon dried oregano 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Kosher or sea salt to taste 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste 6 Whole Wheat Buns
Directions Cook ground turkey, onion and garlic in a large skillet, breaking up meat with a fork up as it cooks. Drain ground turkey thoroughly and add remaining ingredients, mix well. Bring to a boil and reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Serve on toasted 100% whole wheat buns.
