Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness RidgeCalorie Challenge ANSWER (Special Holiday Edition): One serving of the following traditional Thanksgiving dinner has a grand total of.......2395 calories. See below for a more detailed breakdown of the calories for each item:
1) 6 oz turkey - 340 calories 2) 6 oz ham - 300 calories 3) 1 cup mashed potatoes - 300 calories 4) 1/2 cup gravy - 150 calories 5) 1 dinner roll w/butter - 155 calories 6) 1/2 cup green bean casserole - 150 calories 7) 1/2 cup sweet potatoes w/marshmallows & brown sugar - 300 calories 8) 1/2 cup of cranberry sauce - 190 calories 9) 1 glass of wine/beer - 150 calories 10) 1 piece of pumpkin pie - 180 calories
(Note: I noticed that they left off the dressing/stuffing. That's because everyone makes it differently. You will have to figure that out yourself.)
Remember, most of the serving sizes here are only 1/2 a cup which is probably smaller than your normal serving sizes. Keep your portions small and don't be too hard on yourself. Have a Happy Thanksgiving season!Loupy's note...we do not eat green bean casserole or candied sweet potatoes. We have fresh green beans and baked sweet potatoes if we have them at all. So, our total will be very different. I think I will research this some and see how much we do it. We do tend to have more butter than most...
