Peanut Butter Fudge shared by Pat
This was my grandmother's recipe and she would be 110 years old if alive.
Ingredients: 3 cups sugar 1 cup evaporated milk 1/3 cup dark corn syrup 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1 Tbsp. butter
Instructions:
Butter an 9x9" baking dish; set aside. Mix sugar, milk, and syrup in heavy pan. Bring to boil and cook to soft ball stage (235 on candy thermometer). Remove from heat and add peanut butter, vanilla and butter. Set in sink with cold water and beat with mixer until when beaters pulled out the mixture begins to hold shape. (this only takes a couple of minutes). Pour quickly into prepared pan. Let cool When cooled, cut into 1 inch pieces. Enjoy!
