But my absolute favorite homemade frosting turns out to be the simplest to prepare. The basic recipe includes two ingredients. The fancy version has three. The best part – besides licking the bowl – is it only takes 5 minutes to make. Cream, honey, and a vanilla bean are all that is standing between you and a delightful homemade frosting.Ingredients 1 pint whipping cream 1 to 2 tablespoons honey 1 vanilla bean, scraped
Instructions Place the cream into a cold mixing bowl. Use the whisk attachment on your mixer and beat at a high speed until it starts to get thick. Turn off the mixer and add the honey and scraped vanilla bean. Mix again until the frosting is the consistency you like. The longer you go, the more firm and butter-like it will become.NotesYou can add a little natural food coloring to this frosting if desired.
