Easy Soft & chewy Homemade Granola Bars
www.overthebigmoon.com/
Here is why I love this recipe – you can customize it however you want, it’s a no-bake recipe and it literally takes 10 minutes to make a batch!!
It’s SO EASY!!
Here is the base recipe you use:
Wet Ingredients:
First, melt the following on the stove:
4 Tablespoons Butter
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Honey
In a separate bowl combine the following
Dry ingredients:
1 Cup Oats
1 Cup Granola
1 Cup Rice Krispies
Then add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in the pot.
Spread out in a pan (you can use a 9×13 or a sheet pan, it really doesn’t matter)!
And you’re done! Refrigerate for about a 1/2 hours to firm up, then cut and store in a ziploc bag or container.
I actually like to divide mine up into ziploc bags that have enough in it for my family for one day.
Then I store mine in the fridge during the week and I take one bag per day!
Some of the things I like to add are walnuts, almonds, pecans, chocolate chips, peanut butter, almond butter, craisens, sunflower seeds, dried fruit, and pumpkin seeds!
But, really you can add anything!
Get creative and don’t be afraid!
To customize this recipe it is super easy! If the ingredient is wet (peanut butter, almond butter, chocolate, etc), add it too the ingredients that get melted on the stove. If they are dry ingredients, add them to the dry ingredients bowl!! Easy as that! You’ll just have to play around with the amounts – you’ll need to make sure you have enough wet ingredients to coat all your dry ingredients! Easy as that! Now get making your homemade, healthier, soft and chewy granola bars!
