Fathead Cheesy Herb and Garlic Pullapart Bread
From: Nikki @ www.lowcarbnikki.com/2018/05/05/fathead-cheesy-herb-and-garlic-pullapart/
My intention with this recipe was to recreate those bread twists you can get from bakeries filled with different flavorings like herb and garlic or spinach and feta. We used to buy them often and they’re pretty popular. But there was always too much bread for my liking without nearly enough flavor and filling.
Makes approximately 10 pieces
Ingredients:
1 quantity fathead dough with coconut flour
3 tbsp butter, melted
1 clove garlic, minced
3 tsp dried mixed herbs
100g (1 cup)grated cheese of choice (I used mozzarella)
1 tsp garlic powder
salt
Directions:
Make Fathead according to recipe (*check link below) adding garlic powder and salt.
Roll out into a rectangle in a baking tray between 2 sheets of baking paper with a hand roller.
Combine butter and garlic in a bowl and melt in microwave for approximately 30 seconds.
Remove Fathead from tray and peel off top baking paper.
Leave Fathead on bottom paper.
Spread garlic butter all over fathead dough.
Sprinkle over dried mixed herbs and top with cheese.
Turn so one of the shorter edges is facing you and roll carefully using the baking paper and peeling it off as you go to make a log.
Using kitchen scissors, snip slices in the top of the log about 1cm thick, (Cut so you get 10 pieces) leave the bottom of the pastry intact.
Don’t cut all the way through.
Move slices over to alternating sides left, right then left again until all are done.
Slide baking paper with the pull-apart onto a baking tray.
Bake at 350 for approximately 12-15 minutes until fathead is browned and cheese is melty.
Allow to cool enough to handle and serve. Eat by grabbing pieces of dough and pulling apart.
Great to have on the table to share for a family meal.
