This recipe will make enough for 2-3 large pizzas. The leftovers can be frozen in small batches for future use. Prep time: 5 min Cook time: 30 min Total time: 35 min INGREDIENTS 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil 3 large cloves garlic, minced 1 24 oz can crushed tomatoes 2 teaspoons dried Italian herbs salt to taste crushed red pepper to taste (optional)INSTRUCTIONSHeat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium high heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until softened but not browned. Add the tomatoes, herbs, crushed red pepper (if using), and salt to taste. Bring to a boil over med-high heat. Decrease heat to medium low and cook for 20-30 minutes at a high simmer, stirring occasionally, and lowering heat if it begins to stick to the bottom of the pan. Taste and adjust seasonings.
