Made without any added fillers, preservatives, sugar or other junk, they’re kid-friendly, mom-approved and make for an easy addition to any breakfast table. FINALLY! A breakfast sausage with BIG taste and ingredients you can actually pronounce! This is a perfect breakfast staple to make ahead (we like to double it), freeze and use as you need!Prep: 10 min. Cook: 10 min. Serves 4Ingredients 1 lb. ground turkey ½ cup finely minced apples with peel ½ tsp. garlic powder ½ tsp. Italian seasoning or dried sage ½ tsp. paprika ½ tsp. salt ¼ tsp. black pepper 2 Tbsp. coconut oil
Directions: COMBINE turkey, diced apple, garlic and spices in a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly with a large spoon or your hands. FORM meat mixture into 12 thin patties. HEAT a large skillet over medium heat. When the skillet is hot, add oil (about ½ Tbsp. per batch of patties, depending on the size of your pan). Add the patties to the pan, being careful not to overcrowd them. COOK 3-4 minutes per side until browned and no longer pink in the center. REMOVE patties to a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat with remaining oil and turkey mixture. SERVE Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.
