“The best executive is one who has sense enough to pick good people to do what he wants done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it.”

“I have three precious things which I hold fast and prize. The first is gentleness; the second is frugality; the third is humility, which keeps me from putting myself before others. Be gentle and you can be bold; be frugal and you can be liberal; avoid putting yourself before others and you can become a leader among men.”
― Lao Tzu

We don’t know what someone is going through. We don’t wear signs that illustrate our personal struggles. You don’t see signs taped to people’s shirts that say: “Going through a divorce” or “Lost a child” or “Feeling depressed” or “Diagnosed with cancer.” If we could read visually what those around us are going through we would definitely be nicer. But we shouldn’t have to see signs and have reasons to treat strangers with kindness. We should do it anyway, whether we know what is going on or not. Whether they deserve it or not. Let’s give everyone an extra dose of patience, kindness and love.

“Being rude is easy. It does not take any effort and is a sign of weakness and insecurity. Kindness shows great self-discipline and strong self-esteem. Being kind is not always easy when dealing with rude people. Kindness is a sign of a person who has done a lot of personal work and has come to a great self-understanding and wisdom. Choose to be kind over being right and you’ll be right every time, because kindness is a sign of strength.”

“May you practice forgiveness, or failing that, silence. May you ignore nonsense and provocation. May your coffee, your resolve, and your wifi be strong. And may you face your challenges with humor, grace and chocolate when necessary. And always, may you notice the small moments of beauty.”

“When you look at a field of dandelions you can either see a hundred weeds or a thousand wishes.”
-Unknown
Loupy's Note: Please do not put poison on dandelions. They are the first food that bees use when they wake up from winter. They need it to survive. If you kill the dandelions, you are killing bees too. And if all the bees are dead...we humans will be next. Bees are the workers that pollinate our real food. Did you know that bees won't go near any GMO foods? The only reason honey bees sting is if we get in their way. So, just let them be and just mow over the dandelions please. And, I hope none of you are using that awful Roundup to kill weeds etc in your yards. It kills more than weeds and is terrible for the soil.

"Eating to live, instead of living to eat, requires knowing the difference between appetite and hunger. It's the difference between want and need. Appetite is a want, a desire; hunger is the need for fuel. If you keep fanning the flame of appetite, you will be continually scorched in its fire."
- Catherine L. Taylor

“Successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what is going on around them. They stay focused on their past successes rather than their past failures, and on the next action steps they need to take to get them closer to the fulfillment of their goals rather than all the other distractions that life presents to them.”
