OpinionsGive consideration to the opinions of others. But don’t let those mere opinions become your reality.
Opinions are valuable, and yet they are far from infallible. What really matters is not what someone else might think, but rather the way you choose to live your life.
Opinions are easy to adopt, to create and to discard. Yet the real substance of life is in action, commitment, persistence and experience, not in tenuous opinions.
It’s fine to have strong opinions. Just make sure those opinions are not a substitute for an active, rich and meaningful life.
Most opinions are based primarily on what has already happened. There’s a whole universe of possibilities that those opinions fail to take into account.
Focus on the best of those possibilities, and work to make them real. Instead of being boxed in by opinions, be liberated by your creation of new and beautiful facts.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130522.html#8aaESAHSwJ7kmM1A.99

Focus on your good fortuneThink about the things that are right with your life. Think about the good and valuable relationships, skills, tools, resources and opportunities that you have right here, right now.
Focus on what’s right with your life, and make the commitment to make it grow. Focus on what’s right with your life, and make good and purposeful use of that value to make even more.
It’s easy to complain about what’s wrong. But not only does that miss the point, it keeps you stuck in a gloomy, ineffectual perspective.
The fact is, there are plenty of good things in your life. The more you pay attention to them, the more thankful you are for them, the more of them there will be.
If you catch yourself feeling sorry for yourself, have the good sense to stop. Re-direct your energy into feeling lucky for the opportunity you have to make a real, meaningful difference.
Focus on your good fortune. It’s most definitely there, and you can use it to make a whole lot more.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130523.html#kWqSFCFxwxYTbDso.99

Every moment a miracle Every moment is a miracle. Every day is filled with magnificent wonder. Opportunities for joy, and possibilities for great enrichment, are everywhere. A vast abundance spreads out in all directions.
Even the troubling, challenging moments have their positive components. For it is in each moment that the miracle of your life is lived. Though the petty, frustrating things vie for your attention, they do not have to dominate you. You can choose to remind yourself, again and again, how miraculous it all is. You can act to make something even more beautiful out of the beauty that already is. You can celebrate, appreciate, and support the goodness and positive value in your world.
The miracle you seek is this moment. Live it as the miracle it is, and the miracle will be yours. — Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130524.html#26vY15KdEiV0DFEO.99

Make it goodEven when you’ve had it bad, you can choose to make it good. With what you have, from where you are, no matter where you have been, now you can make it good.
The easy choices are to whine, to complain, to blame, or to simply do nothing. The best choice, however, is to make it good.
Take the victories, the defeats, the frustrations, the successes, the joys and the disappointments, and with it all, make it good. Take this moment, this situation, this environment, this opportunity, this challenge, and make it good.
There’s nothing you can do to change what has already happened. What you can do now is make it good.
Don’t just talk about it, or plan to do it, or wonder if you can. Get busy, get going, get committed and make it good.
This is your life and this is your opportunity to make a difference. This is your great chance to make it good, so do.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130525.html#8lcvgAUiPkrG1FZS.99

Being positiveYou cannot instantly change the situation by being positive about it. What you can instantly change is your perspective, and that will give you an enormous advantage.
Even when there’s no good justification for being positive, be positive. Because it is always far superior to the alternative, and gives you maximum power and effectiveness.
Being positive is a choice you can make that will connect you to the best possibilities. Being positive forces you to also be positively creative.
When things are difficult, do you really want to make them even more difficult by being negative? Choose instead to realistically see the situation for what it is, and then to be positive about moving forward from it.
Eventually, somebody is going to change things for the better, and it might as well be you. Think and see and do from a positive perspective and create good, meaningful value.
By being positive you are being powerful, useful, thankful, compassionate, sincere and highly effective. Make the choice to be positive, and truly make the world a better place.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130527.html#AwOGLTZTUu2XpDMK.99

With life as it is, make joyEmbrace this day, this moment, this life, and with it, make joy. Feel and fully experience the reality of what is, and in the midst of it, make joy.
No matter how much or how little joy you’ve known in the past, now is your opportunity to make more. Focus on how good it is to simply be, and let pure, unconditional joy flow from your awareness.
Though you have pains and problems and challenges, you also have the good fortune of being able to make joy. With life as it is, from where you are, with what you have, make joy.
There is no need to fight or run away, to feel bitter or to make excuses, to give up, to back down, or to fall into a negative mindset. You have life, and you always have the ability to make joy.
Smile, and warm the world around you. Breathe deeply, gently, and peacefully feel the miracle of your own existence. Live life as it comes. And with it, every bit of it, make joy.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130528.html#vMYQjK3WJFBJBMuA.99

Delight in the effortsWhen there is much work to be done, there is much life to be lived, and much value to be created. The difficult, challenging tasks are the most desirable ones, for they’re the ones that can make life rich.
If the work is hard, if the task is demanding, take it as a golden opportunity to raise your performance to an even higher level. You have what it takes to diligently work your way through, and the rewards can be enormous when you do.
Delight in the efforts, for those efforts will bring much meaningful substance to life. Embrace the challenges, and those challenges will give you strength, confidence, persistence and satisfaction.
You know how good it feels to make a difference. It feels great, so do it again and again.
Instead of being weighed down with regret, let yourself be buoyed by your own achievements. Embrace the efforts, find delight in them, and feel the power of your own purpose as it is manifested through your actions.
Give your best, most enthusiastic efforts to life. And you’ll be giving great fulfillment to yourself.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130529.html#ruBZY7Tkdj3s8Yjf.99

DiversionsIt’s easy to distract yourself with all sorts of meaningless diversions. It’s much better to challenge yourself to create meaningful value.
Diversions can be interesting, informative and enjoyable, and they certainly have their place. But don’t let them steal large chunks of your life away from you.
If no one, including yourself, benefits from what you’re doing, it’s time to change what you’re doing. Make the choice to value your time by making the choice to get real value from it.
You are worthy of the very best in life. So step away from the meaningless diversions, and work to create the very best, most fulfilling moments, days, months and years.
Be curious, filled with wonder, and open to all the beauty that life has to offer. At the same time, be continuously purposeful and focused on creating meaningful value.
Life is amazing. Make the most of every opportunity to make it even more so.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130530.html#XhwB8vwTcJfgyfiU.99

Skip the dramaYou can avoid a lot of needless drama by continuing to remind yourself of your purpose. Instead of wasting your time and energy on issues that make no difference, focus yourself on achieving the goals you’ve chosen.
If someone is standing in your way, your purpose is not to punish or belittle that person. Your purpose is to get beyond that person’s opposition in a positive, respectful and effective way.
Pouting, whining, intimidation, name calling, seeking to make others feel guilty, and similar tactics produce no real value for anyone. If you’re obsessed with getting even, it’s impossible for you to get ahead.
Your aim is to achieve your goal, to fulfill your purpose. It is not to diminish anyone else.
Put your energy into envisioning and creating positive, meaningful value. Put thoughts, feelings and efforts toward things that will do you, and others, some good.
Remember your purpose, and follow it in a positive, creative way. Skip all the drama and go straight to the goal. — Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130531.html#4C4UfUguoglebhOH.99

True fulfillmentFulfillment is not what someone else says it is. Fulfillment is what you feel it to be.
When you chase goals that are not really yours, you’re not very likely to reach them. And even if you do, it will bring no real sense of satisfaction.
There’s much you can gain by always making a good impression. Yet if impressing others is the only thing that matters to you, life can be terribly sad and empty.
There are so many beautiful and original possibilities for your unique life. There’s no need to borrow the tired, old, worn-out cliches of what it means to have a rich and fulfilling life.
Live your own dreams, the ones that truly mean the world to you. To be authentically impressive you must first be authentic.
Fulfillment for you is whatever feels good and right and fulfilling to you. Live that true fulfillment, and experience the beautiful richness that is uniquely yours.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130601.html#ZbLdXFQQOsEeQuf2.99

The key to persuasionInstead of striving to get others to see it your way, put your energy, effort and focus into seeing it their way. By more fully understanding what others see, you can more compellingly express what you see.
Your perceptions are indeed very valuable, yet they are not the only perceptions. If you operate under the assumption that everyone sees, or should see, the world as you do, you’re not going to make much progress.
The way to get people to see it your way is to start by seeing it their way. The key to persuasion is understanding.
Take the time to listen, to observe, to ask, to learn, and to listen some more. Make it your goal to sincerely, respectfully, without judgment, understand.
You have beautiful, valuable, helpful things to say. The more you truly understand the person you’re talking to, the more compelling your words will be.
Before you attempt to be understood, make sure you understand. Greatly enhance your own perceptions by respectfully considering the perceptions of others.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130603.html#Ac46fSxBf1HqtuBV.99

Make it all countThere’s opportunity in this day that will soon be gone. Make it count while you have it.
You have skills, abilities, knowledge, connections, passions, and possibilities. Make it all count by making something good and meaningful out of it all.
There are lots of ways you could waste this day, but wouldn’t you rather make good, purposeful use of it? There are plenty of excuses for why you can’t, but think of how far you can go when you focus instead on why you will.
Behind every desire, is a desire to matter. In every urge, is the primal urge to take hold of the reins of your life and make it count.
Make it count in ways that lift you ever higher. Make it count by benefitting life, and those who live it, as positively and as powerfully as you can imagine.
Don’t just sit there wondering if or when or why or how. Step forward, take this moment right now and make it count. — Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130604.html#XiiirZwBkZ6xt4Az.99

Make life truly goodThe best opportunities are opportunities to be of service. When someone can benefit from your assistance, your expertise, your time, attention and skills, that’s golden.
The way to make a friend, the way to make a living, the way to make a good impression, the way to make a fortune, is to make a difference. When you’re committed to making a difference, to being of service, you’re on the path to greatness.
Be of genuine service, again and again, and the world takes notice. Make it your goal to add real value to life, and you’ll live a life that’s rich and fulfilling.
Sure, some people will seek to take advantage of you. Yet you can let that be their problem, not yours.
Give great value, and you will live great value. Let go of the fantasy that you can cheat life, because all you end up doing is cheating yourself.
When times are good, when times are tough, when there’s joy or when there’s disappointment, whatever the situation may be, choose to be of service. Make life truly good by making it good for others.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130605.html#DRM4CSTLE8FRLy77.99

Great possibilitiesYou will see what you want to see. So what do you want to see?
You will experience what you expect to experience. So what exactly are your expectations?
Reality is the way it is. Yet the reality of your life depends on the way you filter and interpret and respond to what is.
When you sincerely expect life to be rich, beautiful and fulfilling, you will absolutely find a way to live it as such. When you truly seek to see and experience life at its best, that’s what you’ll end up doing.
No, you can’t magically make things appear just by expecting them to do so. What you can do, however, is open yourself to the great possibilities and realities that most certainly are already here.
Life’s great possibilities are here now for you to fulfill. Expect them, open yourself to them, see them and live them fully.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130606.html#2c5tdqFzBdBdcyiY.99

Inherent worthNo matter what happens, you are still a beautiful person. No twist of fate, no thoughtless word or deed by another, can take your inherent worth away from you.
It’s great to be ambitious, and yet even when some of those ambitions fail to come to fruition, your life has much value. Just the fact that you are you is enough, and everything else is a bonus.
Disappointment hurts, as it should. However, you can go on to even bigger and better things.
Feel the confidence of knowing that whatever may come to pass in your life, you are always worthy of the best. Life is so very good simply in and of itself, and you have it, here and now.
The wins and losses count, the failures and successes matter, but they do not change the value that is your life. That value is yours with which to get up, get going again, and add new richness to your experience.
Fill your awareness with sincere gratitude for the unique beauty that is your life. Whatever may come, live it with purpose, passion and joy, and let that beauty grow.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130607.html#w8uPbeKbxDSxcRgp.99

Make it matterIf you’re not motivated to take action, raise the stakes. The way to get motivated, to get passionate and to get going is to make it worth your while.
It’s only natural to procrastinate, avoid and make excuses when what you must do has little or no meaning for you. The answer is not to force yourself to act against your own interest, but rather to find a way to get yourself positively invested.
When you make it important enough, you’ll make it happen. When you make it truly matter, you’ll figure out how, and you’ll persevere until it’s done.
If you’re dreams are just empty wishes, and you’re not moving passionately toward them, make them bigger. Give them consequence, and you’ll make them compelling.
Get your own self-interest working in your favor. Align that self-interest with what’s best for everyone, and you’ll find yourself actually doing what’s best for everyone, including you.
There’s no need to fight or strive or struggle to get yourself to take action. Make it matter, and you’ll make it happen.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130608.html#Ebldc6T03T7oLIK8.99

The power of kindnessIt’s easy, and very powerful, to be kind and courteous to those who are kind and courteous to you. Yet to experience the full power of your sincere courtesy and kindness, offer them to people who are careless and rude to you.
Rudeness is nearly impossible to maintain when it is met with courtesy. Carelessness and negativity will wither in the bright light of kindness and true forgiveness.
Sure, it is difficult to bring yourself to forgive those who are hurtful to you. But the thing is, forgiveness gives you the upper hand.
The way to stop the hurt is by refusing to participate in it. To effectively help yourself, offer genuine kindness to others.
By no means should you tolerate continued abuse. Yet there is no good reason to perpetuate that abuse.
Be the one who is strong, who stops the negativity. Put the power of kindness, courtesy and forgiveness to work for you and your world.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130610.html#V3kk43i4xXilDrzJ.99

Give substanceLosers are always obsessed with what they can get, and end up with very little. Winners constantly look for new ways to give, and enjoy lives filled with richness and abundance.
Give, not because you have to or are supposed to or because you seek something in return. Give because you realize how much it sincerely fulfills you and strengthens you.
Give the best of who you are, the best of what you know, the best of what you can do. Give in ways that are creative, joyful, memorable, valuable and just plain fun.
When you sincerely enjoy giving, you’ll fully enjoy living. Every moment is an opportunity to add value to your life and your world by giving of yourself.
Give substance, not just tokens. Give from the heart, and you’ll continue to feel like giving more.
Your life is valuable beyond all measure. Give, and experience that value every moment to its fullest extent. — Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130611.html#OrdtCLs60KMixB6X.99

The way to persistIf you want your actions to have a powerful effect, repeat them. Breakthroughs come much more often from persistence than from brilliance.
The way to persist is to remind yourself of this. It’s not what has already happened that matters most, but rather what you do next.
The way to persist is to focus on your purpose, on what you have chosen to achieve, and on what you can do about it right now. Look not at the past disappointments, but at the current possibilities.
Persistence isn’t complicated, or even difficult for that matter. All you have to do to persist, is to keep making the effort, and that’s something you can do no matter what may have happened.
You owe it to yourself to look forward rather than backward. You owe it to yourself to get where you’ve chosen to go, so keep going.
There is something positive you can do at this time and in this situation. Get it done, and get the sure and steadfast power of persistence on your side.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130612.html#WkDSlCB7k0PP312K.99

Creative geniusThere was a time when you knew you could do anything, and you did. There was a time when you were not afraid of your own possibilities, and you acted on them, and brought those possibilities to life.
There was a time when you created purely for the joy of it. There was a time when you learned just because you were curious.
You still can do all those things and more. Your capabilities extend far beyond anything you’ve ever done with them.
Instead of living with mediocrity, or worse, you can live with passion, purpose, joy and fulfillment. Instead of giving in to the fear that you’ll be looked at as weird for following your dreams, you can truly celebrate and live those dreams.
When it comes to living your own life and fulfilling your own purpose, you are the world’s most creative genius. Imagine how great it can be to put that genius to work.

Life is opportunityIn everything in life, there is opportunity. On this day, wherever you are, whatever has happened, there is great opportunity to add value, meaning and richness to life.
When you see grand examples of life’s beauty and wonder, there is opportunity. When you see tragedy, injustice, and dismay, there is opportunity to make a genuine and lasting positive difference in the world.
One of the most powerful aspects of life is the opportunity that exists in every situation. Life is good, and it gets even better when you seize the opportunities and bring them to fulfillment.
Focus your heart and your mind on what you can do to add more real goodness and beauty to the world. Wherever you are, you’ll always find a way to enrich all of life.
Life is opportunity. Among all the things you see in front of you, zero in on the opportunity and commit yourself to bringing the value of that opportunity into being.
Within this day is great opportunity. Embrace it, follow it, and make it into something truly beautiful.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130614.html#BzKl7jmyIc4f0pHj.99

Make life funInstead of looking for reasons to complain, look for ways to laugh. If you run out of things to do, try smiling.
Have fun, laugh out loud, figure out what you enjoy the most and get yourself involved in doing it. Challenge yourself to put more fun into whatever you’re doing.
Do you want to be encouraged, motivated, inspired, enthusiastic and full of energy? Then spend your time doing what you enjoy and enjoying what you do.
It’s not really that difficult to transform a dismal, frustrating, disappointing day into a delightful one. Just stop focusing so much on the bad stuff and make the choice to make life fun.
No, it’s not irresponsible or disrespectful to have fun. What’s truly irresponsible is to go through life with your joy buried so deep that nobody ever benefits from it.
So go ahead, let the joy flow out from you as you give your energy and awareness to what really matters. Make life great by making life fun.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130615.html#yV27VW4E7g0FzKA0.99

Be fully aliveThis is a great day to be alive. So use this day to be one hundred percent, completely, fully alive.
Don’t settle from less than the best from yourself. In every moment of this day, you can choose to live with purpose, passion, richness and joy.
Take a moment to count your blessings, and then get busy making those blessings count. Just by virtue of being you, there is so much you have and so much good you can do.
Sure, there are plenty of perfectly valid reasons to be negative. But that doesn’t mean you have to embrace those reasons.
Choose instead to be positively inspired by everything you see and hear and experience. Let that inspiration push you gently and joyfully forward as you find ways to make a difference for your world, yourself, and the people around you.
Life on this day is a priceless gift, so enthusiastically open the gift and jump all the way into it. Make the most of the opportunity you have to create great, meaningful value.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130617.html#SPHxdT3ktcRTOglP.99

Happy for yourselfYou don’t have as much time as you’d like to have. But instead of resenting that situation, or getting frustrated or despondent about it, make good, positive use of the time that’s available.
The circumstances may indeed be difficult and challenging, but that’s no reason to make them even more so. Instead of fighting against the difficulties, embrace your own ability to move positively through them.
It’s easy to feel sorry for yourself, but that doesn’t really get you anywhere you’d like to go. With the exact same amount of thought energy, you can feel happy for yourself, and thankful for the very real positive possibilities that are yours.
There are all sorts of distractions, excuses, interruptions, and other people to blame for your lack of progress. Even so, you can make the commitment to make real, meaningful progress no matter what, and then successfully follow through on it.
There’s plenty of negativity in the world, and there’s nothing to be gained by adding to it or wallowing in it. You can just as easily choose a more positive, powerful, productive path.
It all depends on the way you see it and the way you live it. Be happy for yourself, for all the good you can do, and then spread your positive energy far and wide.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130620.html#ovgWSOiQ1rdJdC7i.99

Time and placeYou are in the right place at the right time. The place is here, and the time is now.
This is the place where you can learn, grow, act and achieve. This is the time when you can work to fulfill your best possibilities.
Fortune is smiling on you right here, right now. Because you now have the ability to make a difference, and by doing so you can bring beautiful and fulfilling things to life.
Let go of any anger or resentment that keeps you mired in the past, for the past is over. Let go of any empty wishes or fears about what might or might not happen someday, because someday is not a real time.
Now is the time that is real and the time that is yours, and with it you can do whatever you choose. Now is when you have immense power over the direction of your life, so use that power wisely and joyfully.

Your powerful thoughtsYour thoughts have great power to influence the way you are. Make sure you get that power working for you, not against you.
Use the power of your thoughts not to merely find an excuse, but to find a way. Focus the power of your thoughts not on worry or dismay, but rather on love and creativity.
Use your immensely powerful thoughts not to hide away from life’s best possibilities. Instead, use your thoughts to achieve great things.
Whatever you most consistently think you are, is what you surely become. Think positively, think compassionately, think joyfully, and become the best you can be.
Each moment is an opportunity for you to point your thoughts in a direction that will benefit your life and the lives of those around you. Each thought is a choice you make regarding the direction of your life.

Allow and enableIf it seems that you’re stuck where you are, no matter what you do, then you’re almost certainly trying too hard. Stop trying and start allowing.
When you’re striving and fighting and pushing, you’re working against yourself. Take a deep breath, calm down, and be.
Be you, in the moment, honestly, authentically, needing nothing and appreciating everything. Allow, accept, enjoy, and you cannot possibly remain stuck.
Where there is genuine love, appreciation and enjoyment, there can be no resentment or frustration. When you fully allow life to flow to you and through you, then you enable creativity and value to naturally and easily flow out from you.
Life is beautiful to a degree that goes far beyond anything you can possibly imagine. Stop trying to imagine that beauty and start allowing yourself to experience it.
Let go of the need to strive and to judge. And embrace the profound opportunity to be, now. — Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130624.html#ZyiC6vP58bXRdHqK.99

Thankful for frustrationsBe thankful for your frustrations, because they can solidly connect you to your passions. Be thankful for your frustrations, and let them motivate you to do something useful and positive.
Instead of obsessing over the frustrations, focus on the good things in your life that make those frustrations possible. Instead of letting the frustrations get you down, let them push you toward taking thoughtful, beneficial action.
Rather than resenting or fighting against the frustrations, feel them and learn from them. There is a reason why they have come to your awareness, so find the positive possibilities in that reason.
Many times, your frustrations can point you clearly and compellingly toward changes that will greatly benefit your life and your world. Often, your frustrations can help you to better understand what you truly care about.
Frustration is so much more than just an undesirable feeling. Frustration can be a valuable assistant in moving your life forward.
Instead of letting your frustrations get you down or make you angry, put them to work for you. Let those frustrations lead you to where you truly want to go.— Ralph Marston Read more at greatday.com/motivate/130625.html#ZPTR6FlvFw46Oy0b.99
